Implante Cejas

Eyebrow implant

Eyebrows are important for facial aesthetics. With eyebrow implants, it is no longer necessary to resort to unnatural methods to cover a scar.

  • Autoimmune disorders such as lupus.
  • Burns.
  • Certain infectious diseases like syphilis.
  • Thyroid diseases.
  • Nervous habits such as continuously pulling out hair or rubbing the scalp.
  • Radiotherapy.

This procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The number of necessary grafts for this treatment is about 70 to 300 per eyebrow. In the case of women, a much lower number of grafts are needed than in men.

In women, the follicles are obtained from the area just above the eyebrows, where the hair is much thinner. On the other hand, in men, they are obtained from the occipital area, where the hair is usually thicker.

The graft is placed in the eyebrow area and is transplanted microscopically hair-by-hair, using only follicular units from one hair until replicating the natural arch of the eyebrow.

As the skin around the eyebrows could present a certain level of inflammation, it is important to maintain the head elevated at all times immediately after the procedure (especially when resting during the first few nights).

Replicating the exact arch of the eyebrows is also a challenge since the direction of the individual hairs changes as they progress towards the temple. One of the most difficult tasks of this process is the positioning of the follicles at the correct angle to achieve natural-looking growth.

Only a medical team with extensive experience in hair implant and advanced technology instruments will achieve a perfect final result for each patient.
