Aangene Phase
This is the growing phase of the hair growth cycle which normally lasts from 2 to 6 years

Alopecia
Lack  of hair or regular hair loss in one area which is naturally covered by hair. (see causes of baldness)

Alopecia Areata
The medical term for hair loss in localized patches. It can progress to total body hair loss and it results from various factors. (see causes of baldness).

Alopecia Areata Universalis
The loss of scalp and all body hair ( eyebrows, genitals , legs etc) (see causes of baldness)

Anagenic Effluvium
Loss of hair during anagene phase (active hair growth cycle) after some days suffering from a metabolic aggression which results in a sudden death of cells producing hair (e.g. chimiotherapy). Only hair in growth phase is affected.

Androgenetic Alopecia
Resulting from genetic and hormonal factors. ( see causes of baldness) 

Androgens - Androgenic Hormone
Pertaining to the group of male sex hormones, steroid hormones, testosterone is the main androgen hormone. They are responsible for typical male sexual characteristics 

Artificial Hair
Hair resulting from a synthetic procedure; it is lifeless and does not grow. It can cause rejection as it may act as a strange body

Autoimmune
Autoimmune disease, any of a number of abnormal conditions caused when the body produces antibodies to its own substances
