Eyebrows
Eyebrows are important for facial aesthetics. Resorting to transplant surgery leaves aside anti-natural methods such as micro-pigmentation or permanent eyeliner makeup. Eyebrows transplant surgery is the best option to help women and men restore their facial beauty and aesthetics as well as their self-confidence.
Causas:
1. Autoimmune diseases such as lupus.
2. Trauma such as a burn.
3. Some infectious diseases such as syphilis.
4. Thyroid diseases.
5. Radiation therapy.
Procedure:
This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. The number of grafts that are necessary for this treatment may vary from 70 to 300 for each eyebrow; in the case of women a much smaller number than in men is necessary. Micrografts for women are taken from the area just above the ears, where hair is thinner; in the case of men, hair is taken from the occipital area, where hair is usually thicker.
When the graft is removed it is placed on the eyebrows, then single hair follicle grafts are microscopically implanted one by one into the eyebrow area until re-creating the natural eyebrow bow.
After Care:
The skin around the eyebrow area may be swollen and a bit bruised for some days. It is essential to keep your head up at all times immediately after the procedure, specially while sleeping during the first days.
Conclusions:
To recreate the exact eyebrow bow is also a challenge as the direction of individual eyebrow hairs change as they project towards the temple. For this reason only a skilled and highly experienced medical team can perform such a precise and detailed surgery.
